Seeking Christ – Sharing Life – Serving Community

This Sunday 27 September, 2020

Duncan’s message is on our website (lynchchapel.org.uk) click the audio button on the home page TITLE: One Spirit With Him SCRIPTURE: Romans 6 verses 1 to 14 What does it mean to be one spirit with Jesus? We see how this comes from the message of freedom in him and the way he now lives within those who follow. We really are different at the core. We finish with this prayer: Lord, you are the original trade union. Your trade is love, and you have made us fully paid-up members. So, remind us of your trade. Remind us of the true people you have made us to be. And help us turn a deaf ear to the sin within. By your Spirit, strengthen us to be who you know we are. And may we live your life, For the sake of those around us. Amen • Don’t forget to light a Candle and put it in your window at 7 pm this Sunday Links with the wider church • Sunday Service available online at https://devotions.urc.org.uk • Prayer for URC Thursdays 20.15 -20.35 • Time of prayer every Wednesday and Sunday evening at 7pm. www.baptist.org.uk/Groups/338268/Prayer_broadcasts.aspx Duncan and the deacons want to support all members of the fellowship. Please don’t hesitate to contact them if you need help. NEWS Duncan and Carol are still on holiday in Scotland. The weather seems to have been kind to them so far. An idea arising from our Zoom Bible Study Meeting All of us have missed our monthly Prayer Breakfast meeting. We propose to go Zoom with a Coffee and Prayer Group. Now, not all of us have computer access but you can join the group by phone – Enid does this on Monday nights. And if this doesn’t work for you, you could ask for prayer for yourself and others - Tricia will take notes and send out a list as we did in pre-Covid times. The first meeting is on Thursday 1st October from 10.00-11.00 am (this coming Thursday) and is open to everyone. (It is always possible to join for part of the time) Don’t be put off with the idea of Zoom – we’re all finding our way round it. If you’re interested please contact Anne (842548 or fanthedragon@gmail.com) who can tell you how easy it is to join the group. And if you don’t feel you can face Zoom but would like prayer for yourselves and others please let Anne know. Planned new course: Jesus' Attitude Towards Women Begins on Friday, 9 October at Locking Castle Church from 10am-12pm. Leader Liz Baker. Fiona is intending to go and can take a passenger. This is an 8 week course and if you are interested in attending, please let her know as numbers are limited. Full details were on last week’s attachment
